Organic Hojicha is a Japanese green tea roasted over high heat turning the leaves brown. The first thing you get is the roast, warm and toasty flavor, like something caramelising in a pan.. It has very little caffeine and is gentle on the stomach, making it great for any time of day.

Organic Hojicha and matcha are both Japanese green teas, but they are very different. Matcha uses shade-grown green leaves ground into a bright green powder. It tastes grassy and bold with high caffeine. Organic hojicha uses roasted leaves or stems. It has a brown color, a nutty or caramel taste, and very little caffeine.
