Not only is it almost universally believed to be one of nature’s best medicines, it tastes delicious. If you like sweet beverages, but want to wean yourself off sugar, substitute a cup of liquorice tea for a sugar-sweetened beverage or add a little
liquorice root to your favorite herbal blend. Liquorice contains a natural sweetener, glycyrrhizin, which is 50 times as sweet as sucrose. Naturally sugar free it has an extremely sweet flavour so is also used to curb sugar cravings.
Brewing Guide
2 tsp per medium pot infused for 3 mins at 100 C (Guide only, please adjust to suit personal taste).
